A Family Owned Company...
The company has been operating as a sole proprietor family owned business since its beginnings in 2004. After working several years in the trade, Dean Troyer (owner) seized the opportunity to purchase business assets and equipment from a previous company, thus began Pine Acres. Although there have been several changes in products and materials over the years, the commitment to satisfied customers has not. The Troyer family enjoys various outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, and traveling. The family is active in church where Dean serves as a pastor. They desire to pass the Lord’s blessings on to their customers.
About Us
Since our beginnings in 2004, our company has strived to exceed customer expectations by the use of quality materials and workmanship, thereby adding beauty and value to residential and commercial properties. Whether buying through our network of dealers or contractors, nearly all of our products are manufactured, delivered, and installed by our very own team of skilled craftsmen. This allows us to focus on a consistent hands-on approach to every product going through our facility, and avoids potential conflict with third party contractors. There is no mass production here, as every product is individually constructed to each customer’s exact specifications. Whether it is a stylish and functional pavilion, a rustic timberline, traditional gazebo, or a customized pergola or awning, you can be confident in our abilities to meet and exceed your needs.

FAQs
How do you anchor structures down that do not have a floor?
U-shaped metal brackets are fastened to the concrete or deck with anchor screws, then the posts are placed inside the brackets and secured through the sides of the brackets with screws. For areas without a solid surface to mount them onto
(a loose paver patio, dirt or grass area, etc.) it is recommended to have holes dug below frost level and have the posts installed
into the ground. Or concrete pilings can be poured to grade level and the posts can be mounted on top of the pilings with the
above mentioned U-brackets. The brackets are hidden either by a vinyl post sleeve or a wood trim collar.
How well do they hold up in the wind?
Many people are concerned about wind because of past experiences with other structures. We are very confident that our pavilions will withstand most wind storms when anchored down properly.
I have an odd-sized patio and was wondering if you could make something fit?
Absolutely! Even though we have a price list with standard sizes listed, each one is considered custom and can be
sized to fit.
Can you match the shingles to our house?
While we have standard colors in stock, we have the capability to obtain most any brand of shingle and often times there is no additional charge for it.
Do structures come assembled or what method is used to get it into my back yard?
Structures are prepared in a kit form at our manufacturing shop, then are hand loaded onto an enclosed trailer and delivered
to the jobsite via a four wheel drive pickup truck. Pieces can be hand carried to the site, if needed, therefore accessibility is usually not a
problem.
Lead times? And how long does it take to install a project?
Lead times vary depending on workload and seasons. Typical lead time is approx 6-8 weeks but can be as high as 10-12 weeks during summer months. Depending on scope of the project, most structures are installed in less than a day (sometimes 1/2 day), and usually no more than 2 days.
I want to place my structure right outside my back door... how do we keep the water away from the house?
Gutters can be mounted to divert rain water, and/or depending on the application, posts can be extended so water on the structure roof can drain into an existing gutter on the house.
Do you recommend staining my structure and, if so, how often and what should I use?
Although cedar and pressure-treated pine are very durable for exterior use, it is recommended to apply a coat of exterior deck stain/sealer approx. every 2 years to enhance the appearance and help provide protection from the elements. If left unstained, cedar and pressure-treated pine will weather to a silverish gray color. Pine Acres offers staining at their manufacturing facility, and most staining is done prior to delivery.
